I’m an empath that knows how to calm your nerves, get you pumped up, and document your best self on your biggest day. And I can pretty much crack a joke at any given time. 

I also value your input, it’s not very common to do, but I like to show my clients the images in my camera right as we are taking them so that you can see what they look like. I feel confident showing you a raw image because it is so important to me that you like what you see, before I edit and deliver them. It never hurts my feelings if you say you don’t like an image, it would be crazy to think that you are going to love every pose and image we ever take. But by showing you the images raw, we can work together to make any tweaks or just confirm that things are going the way you imagined.

It’s important to me that you know my process, cause let’s face it, I’m gonna watch you two make out all day and we might as well get a little personal before right?!

Some other tid bits about me:

Ruth is my middle name and I was named after my grandmother Ruth Bentley. She passed away before my mom announced she was pregnant with me, and my family thinks that she and I have very similar mannerisms. 

I collect ladybugs, anything and everything that I see with a ladybug- I have. All the girls on my mom’s side of the family collect them and it’s so special to find them.

When I am not taking photos, you can find me propagating my house plants. I have almost 100 plants ranging in size and type of plants. 

I grew up going to summer camp, it is a huge part of my heart. I worked as a counselor and program director, and now I serve on a board for a summer camp for kids with cancer. I leave for a week out of the summer to go volunteer each year. 

You might see a little kid with me on shoots sometimes. Zen is my little with BBBS and she is my little sister that I never had.
